The Department for Medical Informatics, Biometry and Epidemiology, DMIBE of the Medical Faculty - Bochum University, has longstanding experience in the design, data management and analysis of large-scale clinical and epidemiological studies, such as the German epidemiological trial on ankle brachial index (getABI), the German acupuncture trials (gerac) or as a member of the Early Breast Cancer Trialists’ Collaborative Group (EBCTCG).

Trampisch, Hans J, Univ.-Prof. Dr. rer. nat. is since 1988 Full Professor and director of the Department for Medical Informatics, Biometry and Epidemiology. He is graduated in Mathematic. His research fields are methodology of clinical and epidemiological trials and methodology of diagnostic and screening tests.

Klaaßen-Mielke, Renate, Dipl.-Stat. is research fellow at the Department for Medical Informatics, Biometry and Epidemiology.
